INTENSE PULSE LIGHT TO REDUCE SKIN DAMAGE
IPL is a type of light therapy, similar to a laser, that uses pulses of light with different wavelengths to penetrate the dermis without harming the epidermis, so it causes less damage to your skin.
The main difference between IPL and Laser, is that IPL releases pulses of light at multiple wavelengths, whereas laser releases light at one wavelength. By emitting light at various wavelengths, IPL effectively targets multiple levels of pigmentation. The light emitted is absorbed by the pigmentation of the affected area, which then heats up momentarily, breaking the pigmentation down into particles that can be absorbed by the body, or brought to the surface and sloughed away following your treatment.
